INTRO TO ASHTANGA YOGA

MEET YOUR TEACHER: EMILY WALL

Emily grew up in York, Maine, and has recently moved back since living in Georgia and Louisiana for the past five years. In 2015 while living in Athens, GA, she took the plunge to do a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified hatha yoga training. Shortly after her training she moved to Louisiana to get her master’s degree at LSU in environmental sciences. While living in Louisiana, Emily found her passion for Ashtanga yoga. She loves the connection she feels to herself and others, the strength you gain physically and mentally, and the ability to focus on the breath to truly be in the present moment. Emily started practicing with Certified teacher Melanie Fawer in New Orleans, and in 2017 decided to do a 200-hr training with her teacher. She continued her Ashtanga studies in the fall of 2018 by traveling to Columbus, Ohio for a week to study with Taylor Hunt at the Ashtanga Yoga and Addiction Forum. She hopes to spread the life changing practice of Ashtanga yoga to others, and believes as long as you can breath you can do yoga!
