8th annual Summer Solstice Gathering

Please join us on the longest day of the year for community, food, art, music & fire!

We will be serving specialty wood-fired pizzas out of our handcrafted earthen pizza oven.

This is a Community Potluck.... Please bring a dish or drinks to share.  If you don't have time to make anything, no worries!  Just please donate a few bucks for the Pizza offering.

  • Vegan Roasted Cauliflower Pizza with Cashew Cheese on a Madras Curry Sauce

  • Sweet Potato, Caramelized Onions & Goat Cheese Pizza

  • Wild Harvested Ramp Pesto Marguerita Pizza

  • Herbal Non-Alcoholic Elixir

Bluegrass, Folk and Old Timey tunes will be played on the lawn. Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy our local talent. We are super excited to be hosting:

  • Lonesome Dave Kiputh, David Surrette & Susie Burke

  • Fox & Roy: Laura Fox (of Fox & Fern) and Whitney Roy (of OldHat Stringband) will be teaming up to bring us some sweet tunes.

Jerry Beck from the Revolving Art  Museum will be here with his ART POETRY MOBILE. The REVOLVING MUSEUM is a nomadic cultural organization that transforms abandoned and or under-utilized public space through collaborative community art projects.

The Revolving Museum’s (TRM) Public Art Poetry Mobile is a traveling public art project and educational program transforming a vintage 1952 Ford pick-up truck and 16 foot-long flat-bed trailer into a gallery space for art, poetry, and performances.

The Public Art Poetry Mobile is traveling from June to November 2019 throughout New England communities making planned and spontaneous stop at schools, festivals, parks, museums, art galleries, downtown Main Streets, and under-utilized public spaces. In addition, the adventure-seeking project will invite the public to make their own poems and self-portraits through a series of workshops along its journey. These works will also be displayed on TRM’s expansive social media platforms.

Learn more about Jerry's team and the REVOLVING MUSEUM HERE.

Sunyata, Shug, Uma & Kaya from Sat Manav Ashram and Sacred Arts & Tattoos will be onsite doing Mehndi "tattoos".  Mehndi is the art of applying henna to the skin in intricate designs. The henna is non-toxic and stains the skin, leaving behind abeautiful pattern. Mehndi Designs range from $5 - $25.

  • Please bring a dish and/or drinks to share or some cash to donate for the pizza, music, or art. This is a Community supported event.

  • A Dinner Mess Kit if possible (We will have compostable plates, but please help us in our efforts to be sustainable by minimizing waste and bring  your own dinner kit.)

  • Instruments for an open jam around the fire from 9-10pm.

  • Blanket or chairs

  • Children Welcome. This event is a Family friendly event,  but children do need to be supervised due to the nature of the property. There is poison ivy off the trails and in some portion of the woods.

  • No pets please. We love animals, but we have chickens roaming free and a very protective livestock guardian dog named Shasta

We will be composting all food waste or feeding it to our happy hens.   There will be mason jars for beverages & compostable plates and forks. But, if you can bring your own Dinner Mess Kit, that will further decrease the amount of waste that is produce and would be much appreciated! And please take your potluck bowl with you when you leave. We could start a small store with the amount of items left behind here…

  • FREE for SHILO FARM MEMBERS (Donations greatly appreciated for the music, art & food …if you can’t contribute to the potluck).

  • $15  for the GENERAL PUBLIC
