Mindfulness practice of attending to the present moment brings attention to the experience of the self and is an excellent beginning for awareness and personal growth. Learning to work with the body - including understanding the messages of pain or discomfort, releasing emotions and expressions held through chronic muscle tensions and working with exercises for grounding and setting boundaries, adds an important element for working through depression, anxiety, addictions, etc. and moving towards an increased capacity for enjoying life.
In this introductory experience with modern Bioenergetics, a comprehensive psychotherapy approach grounded in embodied experience, we will introduce basic concepts, work with exercises, and share experiences to help you be more present and alive in yourself and with others, by accessing the language of the body.
