Jonas Zev Amberger   Jonas Zev Amberger has been a full time yoga teacher since 1997 and received a degree in cultural anthropology from the University of New Hampshire in 1991. He later went on to study at the Kalidas Sanskrit University in Nagpur, India, where he received a degree in Ayurvedic Medicine in 2004. He co-founded and directed YogaEast, a progressive school for Ashtanga yoga in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, from 2002 to 2006. He also founded and directed Yoga 5, a center for Ashtanga yoga and Ayurveda in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts from 2006 to 2008. Jonas says of his personal philosophy regarding yoga practice, “When I practice yoga, I move away from the external stimulation that tells me I should be this or do that. I reconnect with a true place inside myself that invites me to express myself authentically with confidence and clarity.”

Amylyn Fairchild Amberger

Amylyn is an endless seeker of knowledge, adventure and exploration. She is a lover of nature, back to the earth living, experiential education and community organizing. Trained as an Occupational Therapist and an Outdoor Educator, she is empassioned in the path of assisting individuals realize their full potential in their human experience. Through experiential based learning, she helps to guide peoples experiences through empowerment, play and exploration of the natural world.

Amylyn is driven by selfless service which is her highest joy. She works tirelessly to nurture the Shilo Farm mission of bringing community together through creative events and workshops, potlucks and music. Watching connections being made and friendships born fills her heart and fuels her drive to further cultivate all that Shilo was meant to be.

When she is not onsite and tending to the herb beds, caring for the goats and chickens or building something, you will find her exploring the salt marshes in her kayak, trail running, climbing mountains, attempting to learn the mandolin and pottery or traveling.

She received her BA in Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience in Brattleboro, Vermont at Union Institute and University, and then received her Masters of Social Work at the University of New England in Portland, ME. She is a certified professional Kripalu Yoga Teacher, a Reiki Master, certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, certified Integrated Health Practitioner, and a Clinical Social Worker now working at RVNA, where she specializes in hospice and advanced illnesses. She is also trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and has conducted numerous studies on the topics of meditation, mindfulness, yoga and the clinical applications of holistic and alternative health models. She has lead many workshops on yoga, meditation, healthy eating, selfcare and self-empowerment over the past 20 years. She has taught in a variety of settings; including college campuses, behavioral health settings, yoga studios, corporate offices and her own small healing arts studio. Her classes and workshops are heart-centered, comprehensive and trauma-informed.

Sifu Kampa VaShi Deva | Nicanor   is an instructor and coach of Tai-Chi Chuan, Qigong and meditation. He is a certified instructor member of the Gin Soon Tai-Chi Chuan Federation U.S.A. In the spring of 1983, he began training in the ancient martial art of Tai-Chi Chuan with Master Gin Soon Chu and with his son Fong Chu. In 1985 he began his healing studies at the Lea Tam Acupuncture Center in Boston with Qigong Master, Tom Tam, and Dr. Ping C. Chan, Lic. Ac. In 1994, he traveled with the Oriental Culture Institute for work-study in Taiwan and in 1998 he traveled to Beijing to continue his studies and internship at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Institute. Since 1985 Kampa has held his practice in traditional Chinese therapy for over 30 years. In the spring of 2000 Kampa established the Seacoast Tai-chi Institue. He holds a private healing pracitces as an Asian Bodywork Therapist, A.B.T., Qigong Therapist and a certificate of VortexHealing. He is certified by the A.O.B.T.A. American Organization of Bodywork Therapy of Asia, Oregon Research Institute “Moving for Better Balance” which is an affiliate of the New Hampshire Task Force. He has established most of his practices North of Boston and in Southern New Hampshire. He currently teaches in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. With a small team of friends, his hopes of establishing an online media school finally began in the summer of 2017. Now people from around the nation can access virtual Tai-Chi lessons from the privacy of their home with Sifu Kampa.

Lauri Sowers   Lauri is a wholistic practitioner who combines her education in Ayurvedic medicine as an Ayurvedic practitioner, twenty years of practice as a yoga student, teacher and teacher trainer as well as her intuition as a reiki master teacher to develop a wholistic approach for each individual’s wellness.  This wholistic approach includes lifestyle practices, diet, herbs, meditation, yoga and energy work. She is committed to helping each patient understand who they are and how to find balance and health in body, mind and spirit.

Shortly after her training she moved to Louisiana to get her master’s degree at LSU in environmental sciences. While living in Louisiana, Emily found her passion for Ashtanga yoga. She loves the connection she feels to herself and others, the strength you gain physically and mentally, and the ability to focus on the breath to truly be in the present moment. Emily started practicing with Certified teacher Melanie Fawer in New Orleans, and in 2017 decided to do a 200-hr training with her teacher. She continued her Ashtanga studies in the fall of 2018 by traveling to Columbus, Ohio for a week to study with Taylor Hunt at the Ashtanga Yoga and Addiction Forum. She hopes to spread the life changing practice of Ashtanga yoga to others, and believes as long as you can breath you can do yoga!

She loves the connection she feels to herself and others, the strength you gain physically and mentally, and the ability to focus on the breath to truly be in the present moment. Emily started practicing with Certified teacher Melanie Fawer in New Orleans, and in 2017 decided to do a 200-hr training with her teacher. She continued her Ashtanga studies in the fall of 2018 by traveling to Columbus, Ohio for a week to study with Taylor Hunt at the Ashtanga Yoga and Addiction Forum.
