Cultivating Community

Directions

WELCOME!

We are so happy that you have found us!

The Community Barn is a lovingly crafted timber framed barn, located at Shilo Farm in Eliot Maine.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first time here to allow time to get oriented and settled into the space.

YOU HAVE ARRIVED. NOW WHAT?

  • Please park in the lower parking area. It is located directly to your right as you enter the driveway. Please do not block the driveway.

  • Pull all the way to the end of the parking area and point your nose towards the Community Barn on the hill. You can also parallel park on the right side of the parking area. Overflow parking is located in the grass lot across from the dirt parking area. And there is one handicapped spot located up the drive in front of the barn.

  • The Community Barn is located up the pathway. You can’t miss it! There is a sign posted that says YOGA.

  • Enter through the ORANGE door, say hi to the goats to your left and go in through the RED Door that says COMMUNITY BARN. The Studio is at the top of the stairs.

  • Please remove your shoes at the top of the stairs in the coat rack area

WHAT TO BRING

Your own Mat, Water, and a Warm layer.. We will have the windows open for the active classes, so extra layers will be supportive.

We do have a few loaner mats available, as well as meditation cushions, blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps.

For Restorative Yoga, Warmth is a key component of the practice, so the windows will be closed and the HEPA filter and fan will be on high. We have blankets available.

WHAT IF I HAVE MOBILITY CHALLENGES?

  • There is a handicapped spot located at the top of the driveway if you have mobility challenges. Enter through the Red Barn door and the door to the studio is on your right. Please note, that there is a flight of stairs to access the studio.

  • We are working towards making our space more accessible. At this time we do not have wheelchair access to the second floor of the barn. But we are saving for a stair lift to make that possible.
